Star Rats Rattery

Star Rats Rattery is a small rattery located in Boston Massachusetts. We have been breeding beautiful and healthy pet rats since 2004. All of our rats are loved pets before anything else and are spoiled rotten. When breeding, temperament and health always come first, then type and color. Every baby is handled since birth and a lot of time is spent playing with and socializing the babies so they are well rounded when they leave the rattery. We do not cull nor breed for demand or profit.

As of 2011 we are focusing on dumbo blues in rex and standard coats. We also are at the beggining of our dumbo beige line this year!

Goals:

Star Rats Rattery's breeding goal is to produce loving, longlived, and beautiful companions. We breed for excelent health, temperment and longevity first and foremost. We adhre to the AFRMA standards for all our rats. We also want to change the bad reputation that rats have. We strive to educate the public on how amazing pet rats can be and how much joy they can give to their owners.

Rats make great pets and have been compared to dogs for a long time because of their high intelligence and companionship. They are very clean, friendly, and smart creatures, who bring much happiness to their owners. They are relatively easy to care for and if their cage is cleaned regularly it will not smell. Rats love to be held and played with everyday. They are very social and will love snuggling with a buddy.
