Please review the following before adopting. Adoptions and reservations are first come first
serve.
Reserving a Rat or Rats
Rats can be reserved before/ after
birth or at any age for a non-refundable fee of $5 dollars which is added to the total purchase amount. This is the same amount
no matter how many rats you are reserving. If you are unable to receive your wanted rats within 5 days of wanting them the
reservation fee applies. I can only hold rats for up to a week after the weaned age. Please be serious when placing a reservation
and if you no longer want the reservation, tell me ( there may be a waiting list). We adopt out rats when they are ready to
go to their new homes. (The age varies for some).
*14 Day Health Guarantee
Each rat adopted out from our
rattery comes with a fourteen day health guarantee. This guarantee is void if the rat(s) have not been properly quarantined from
other rats not adopted from Star Rats Rattery and/ or the rat(s) get an injury from trauma. If you did quarantine the
rat(s) properly and an illness occurs please contact me. Please note that rats are prone to respiratory infections and keep
their cage clean and them away from un -healthy rats to prevent an infection occurring. I can exchange the rat if the
cause for illness is valid (within the 14 days). No money refund will be given. I am not responsible for veterinary bills.
Rats not bred at Star Rats Rattery are not covered.
Receiving Your Rat(s)
When picking up your rats it is asked
of you to bring a travel carrier. I will meet you in a public place as I do operate a "closed rattery" to prevent
disease from reaching my rats. This is preferably a Mc Donalds , Walmart, ect. Please do not visit any pet stores before
picking up your pet because this can transmit disease. If you do this you are not covered under the health guarantee. When
you get your rat(s) home make sure you have all the supplies needed, large cage, water bottle, bedding, food, toys etc. Do
NOT use ceder or pine bedding. This can cause lung problems and even death. Make sure you rat(s) have fresh water at
all times.
Other Information
Rats are only adopted out in same sex pairs unless you already
have a rat at home.
If you for any reason including the ones stated under the guarantee, are unable to keep or
care for your rat(s) purchased from our rattery you must return them to me. This insures the rat does not end up
in harm's way.
